Dru Harrison

I've been a professional Software Developer for 14 years. For a large part of that I worked primarily on websites and APIs while dabbling in Devops/Networking/Sys Admin type tasks on the side. In the last few years, those positions have reversed but I still enjoy both sides of the development life cycle. I started this business for a variety of reasons but one of those was that I was personally tired of Software tools that were connected to the cloud or that required a subscription when they didn't need it. I love the internet and everything it allows us to do, but I believe people have lost some customer service over the years with the ability to push updates whenever they want. I want to bring that back and return some control to the end user.

I love everything about computers from learning about the hardware to software interface all the way up to LLMs and what tasks they can allow us to do even faster. I'm constantly learning and broadening my knowledge so I can help customers. I'm a Certified Kubernetes Administrator and I continue to broaden my skills in Cloud Native Computing and it's tools/solutions. If you think I can help you bring your ideas to life, be sure to get in touch!

I love figuring out ways to make mundane tasks fun, teaching what I know or lessons I have learned, and encouraging others in their pursuits and goals

What I am Studying

Embedded Systems

With the rise of the internet, lots of people seem to have forgotten about the hardware/software interface. I want to understand it better so I can understand the entire stack of software engineering.

A.I. Training

Millions of people are using A.I. tools for every day tasks. I use it all the time to speed myself up and to increase the pace at which i can learn. But a much fewer amount of people know how these models are trained. I don't want to be one of them.

Game Development

I've loved video games all my life and they are what originally got me into software development. I haven't had a chance in a professional capacity to explore this area and I'm looking forward to getting back to my roots.

Gamification

While related to Game Development. Gamification and the art of making boring things fun is extremely appealing to me. I use it all the time in my personal life and I continue to learn new ways to apply it and love teaching others about it.
